To Parents/Carers of Year 9 Students
Year 9 is an important year for your son/daughter as he/she will be asked to choose which subjects and qualifications they wish to study in Years 10 and 11.
To support all students with this choice, we make information, advice and guidance a priority. We are therefore very pleased to invite you to an essential Year 9 Partnership Evening in the KS3 Hall on Wednesday 30th September from 6.00pm to 7.00 p.m.
During the evening, I will outline the recent curriculum changes and explain what these will mean for your child. There will also be a chance to hear from the Heads of English, Mathematics and Science.
Ms Spry, Director of Achievement and Progress for Year 9, will describe the Year 9 Advice and Guidance programme; outlining strategies to help your child succeed in Year 9 and Key Stage 4. After this, there will be a chance to ask questions.
We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday 30th September to ensure that, by working together, we can support your son/daughter to make the very most of every opportunity in the next three years.
