King Solomon is a school where respect and care are expected from every member of the community. Our Kehila department is key in promoting and sharing the Jewish values the school embodies, helping students on the journey through the key turning points of their lives and providing opportunities for sharing their experiences and their skills with their communities. These activities are diverse and could be preparing for a bar/batmitvah, working with younger students as mentors and buddies, participating in community volunteering schemes such as the Yoni Jenser award or taking part in the young leadership programmes.

King Solomon High School is a modern orthodox Jewish comprehensive school with a mixed intake of approximately 900 students. The school is committed to being a positive learning community where everyone strives for excellence; it is a school which places Jewish values, practices and beliefs at the core of all its activities whilst welcoming students of other faiths. King Solomon is rooted in tradition, whilst educating students in a way which ensures they are prepared for an exciting future of global opportunities and changing technology. King Solomon encourages all students to achieve their best and many of our students go on to study at the top universities in the country. We also aim to produce well rounded, responsible young adults who are active in their community and understand and promote the values of community, charity and respect. In the lower school students study a variety of subjects designed to give them a solid platform of skills and knowledge designed to help them prepare for their future studies and the world of work.

In year 10 students follow a path of study that they have chosen based on the advice from their teachers, form tutors and parents which includes a variety of academic and vocational options designed to ensure that all students achieve their potential. Post 16 studies are designed to allow students to follow a pathway that is focused and individual and from September 2013 will be based in our new state of the art 6th form block equipped with areas for group work, private study, wireless internet and social space including a 6th form café. Throughout their time at King Solomon students receive very high standards of teaching supported by quality pastoral care which demonstrates our commitment to the academic, personal, social and cultural development of our students.
